Based in Baldock, Hertfordshire. Covering Herts, Beds, Cambs, Bucks and North London
At EMS Lifts we understand that most people will be buying a stairlift or other lifting equipment for the first and only time in their lives, so we want to make the process as easy as possible.
We know that it can also be very overwhelming and hard to know which equipment to get, and who to get it from. We have therefore put together our top buying tips to help you through this process.

Weigh up your options

Take time to look at all of the options available to you and don’t be pressured in to a hard or fast sale.

Try before you buy

If possible, try before you buy. You want to feel safe and comfortable using the equipment that you’re going to buy so take time to try it first and get a demonstration of all the safety features.

Free Home Visit

Get a free home visit so that they can assess your access points and talk you through how the products are going to look and work in your home.

Know who your buying from

Make sure you know who you’re buying from and who your point of contact will be if you have any problems or questions.

Saftey Compliance

Ensure that the equipment you buy is compliant with European safety standards – if you’re not sure, be sure to ask your sales advisor.

Warranty and maintainence

Think about the aftersales, warranty and maintenance of your new equipment. Make sure you know how long the warranty will be, what it includes, and what you should do if you encounter any problems.

Choose the right company

Find a company that you feel comfortable with and that has good reviews from their customers on sites such as Trusted Traders.
